Let's be honest, cybersecurity compliance is not an easy task.
We can help!
Totem offers an affordable online workshop geared towards Small Business DoD Contractors and their IT service providers.
Our cybersecurity experts will coach you through NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance as you successfully complete a System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M), and Incident Response Plan (IRP) in accordance with the DFARS 252.204-7012 regulations.
Next Workshop Date: January 15, 2024 (Q1 2024)
Our virtual DFARS/NIST 800-171/CMMC workshop is led by Totem’s team of seasoned cybersecurity experts, who themselves work for a small business prime DoD contractor. They have first-hand experience!
- Instructor-led on-demand lessons are released Monday, and live Q&A sessions are held Friday over the course of 9 weeks.
- Workshop cohort size will be limited to no more than 20 individuals to maximize individual Q&A time with our expert instructors.

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get started now!
Our virtual classroom provides the same expertise as an on-site consultant at a fraction of the cost.
We take a complex topic and break it down so small business DoD contractors, without a security or IT background, can understand and comply.
Good candidates for our NIST 800-171 Compliance Workshops are:
- Small to medium-sized DoD contractors/suppliers/vendors
- Managed Service Providers (MSPs) with clients who are DoD contractors
who would like the knowledge and insight to successfully create and implement their organization’s cybersecurity processes, policies, and procedures.
By participating in these virtual classes, the attendee will:
- Understand the current DFARS 7012 requirements (NIST 800-171 controls) and future CMMC practice requirements for a DoD contractor cybersecurity program
- Build a System Security Plan (SSP) as a set of “blueprints” tailored for their organization’s cybersecurity program
- Generate a Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and corrective action plans to close the gaps within their system
- Develop and exercise a cybersecurity Incident Response Plan for their organization
Our expert cybersecurity instructors will help:
- Translate the current DFARS 7012 requirements (NIST 800-171 controls) and future CMMC practice requirements into layman’s terms
- Suggest tools and technical implementations that satisfy these requirements
- Assist with writing and implementing appropriate cybersecurity policies
- Provide access to Totem’s compliance software so your organization doesn’t have to create its own tracking system
